That tradition started with two extraordinary pioneers: Dr. Gerard and Dr. Virginia Legault.
Rooted in Love
A Legacy Born From Purpose
Dr. Gerard Legault and Dr. Virginia Legault first met on a blind date while attending Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. What began as a serendipitous meeting turned into a lifelong partnership in both life and healing. They graduated just one month apart in 1963, and from the start, they believed in something bigger: that love is the first and most important technique in chiropractic care.
Their mission? To serve, to uplift, and to heal—using the body’s natural intelligence, and always with love at the core.
From Canada to Florida
Building a Practice of Purpose
After graduation, the Legaults opened their first chiropractic office in Pointe-Claire, Quebec, where they practiced for 15 years. In 1976, they were both honored as International Chiropractors of the Year and soon relocated to Hollywood, Florida to support the local French Canadian community with language-accessible care.
They purchased and converted the office where Legault Chiropractic still resides today, opening its doors on August 10, 1979. From day one, their commitment was clear: offer compassionate, natural, and family-centered care for all ages—always without drugs or surgery.

Dr. Gerard and Dr. Virginia were proud parents of Micheline, Dr. Jacqueline, and Dr. Marcel Legault—all of whom became chiropractors themselves. Their children grew up watching them adjust, teach, and love their patients—and naturally followed in their footsteps.
Today, the practice continues under the care of the next generation, including Dr. Jacqueline Legault, Dr. Marcel Legault, and Dr. Mario Valcourt, who proudly carry on the tradition of hands-on healing and whole-body wellness.
